I'm tired! Trains, buses, planes, hostels, living out of a bloody backpack, traipsing halfway across a city to wash my clothes because the hostels dryer is broken... again, making sure my stuff doesn't get nicked, talking to strangers in different languages and being bloody friendly when you really couldn't be stuffed. Why does every single public transport system in Europe have a different ticket system, timetable system, map system, door opener......... seat covers? But it's ok - there's always someone who wants to help..... or do they? Maybe they want to sell me something? or steal something? or KIDNAP ME AND ENSLAVE ME AND POKE ME TILL I CRY??????????

Why does it have to be so hard? WHY?

Thanks - I needed that.

I figured I needed a rest so I headed back to Berlin for the weekend to chill out and just do nothing... except for a couple of museums (I'd feel too guilty if I really did nothing). I hung out with Christiane, my German mate, and apart from doing nothing, we went to the technical museum (and saw one part of it) and then went to this exhibition at the Berlin Guggenheim which is worth a mention:

We went into the gallery, paid our 4 euros and went in. The first room had some weird portraits and sculptures which were average, but interesting enough and a movie cinema showing apocalyspe now of all things. So we went in and started watching the movie. Halfway through, I was thinking that we'd better get out and see the rest of the exhibition before the museum closes, so we head out and look for the other rooms. Only problem is that there are no other rooms. That was it! 7 exhibits and a bloody movie! And this thing is advertised all over Berlin! If it wasn't for the movie, I would have walked in, looked around, walked straight back and demanded my money back. But I enjoyed the movie and the whole experience was bizarre enough to make me laugh so I let them go this time.

Anyway - that's about all from Berlin. Feeling rested and with a bit more energy, I caught a flight to Krakow in Poland to have a look around before meeting up with the fella's in Prague for Seans stag do on Friday.
