Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end... We arrived in Duluth just as the stores were opening where I picked up a new pair of hiking boots (too late smart)...

Of all the places visited around Lake Superior, my favourites were the National Parks on both sides of the border -- all three were impressive, but ahead by a country mile (kilometre?) was Pukaskwa for its impressive wilderness.

If I do it again, a watercraft (canoe/kayak) would make the journey better... BUT Lake Superior must be traveled carefully since she rarely gives up her dead from the fast moving storms. Park officials say that in mid-summer, one should expect one day of storms every four days.

I will be doing additional backpacking in Sylvania Wilderness and the Porcupine Mountains before retrning to Toronto -- the poor van also needs work on the front-end (not from a collision but shocks and ball-joints).

Tidbit:
- I highly recommend installing $10 deer whistles on any vehicle -- they seem to work as the animals just stop and look at you go by without moving :).
