Found Eden in a small state run campground on King Lake -- considered primitive with picnic table, well, fire pit and out-houses. BUT, this campground has only six sites, is six miles from the closest highway and we scooped the only peninsula spot that gives us a lake view on three sides PLUS no neighbours to be seen even if any do arrive (one did the first night and two the second). It is really neat having a spectacular view from the tent doors (just screens to keep out the critters) at night.
Spent two lazy days walking, reading, star watching and sharing campfires...
Bogie is in heaven here as well -- lots of Chipmunks to chase and warm water to swim in, all without a tether.
Tidbit:
- This is another location that I was wishing for a canoe or kayak (on the list but low priority).
- Many thanks to the previous camper who left us lots of firewood (had a chainsaw :)).
