American Eagle airline sucks; no toilet on the plane and my small carry-on was confiscated even when it would fit under my seat. The NYC skyline is very impressive when coming into LGA. I met Cindy along with siblings and nieces at the baggage claim; her AirTran flight was 15 minutes late.
NYC traffic gridlock hasn't changed since I was here 15 years ago; just beware of the yellow cabs while walking, they take no prisoners. Staying at the "nu" hotel in central Brooklyn, a great hotel within walking distance of everywhere.
Zach & Shari's brownstone in Brooklyn is a fantastic apartment with a really nice backyard garden on a fairly quiet one-way street. The gathering for out of towners was a great way for everyone to meet. The food, both catered and family provided, was scumptous - especially a huge three foot vegetarian super hero sub with cheese and eggplant plus gourmet salad.
