Where I stayed
Kilcoursie Campground
This was my first visit to Killbear Provincial Park and it was basically empty on opening day but was busier for the Victoria Day weekend; we had to change sites on Thursday to another great spot overlooking Parry Sound and Parry Island. We have seen lots of wildlife: deer, fox, porcupine, frogs and squirrels for Bogie and many beautiful birds. The weather was great for hiking and kayaking though no beach for Bogie (but pets do have their own place here about two miles down the road).
Campfires were a lot of fun (included Jiffy-pop and toast) but got us weird looks since one is not allowed to gather wood from the park; however, we loaded up Cindy's Subaru roof a couple of times to keep our no buying firewood pact when on the road (plus Moyra & Dave donated some nice Maple :)).

Tidbits:
- Wardens were friendly and only
tagged people blatantly ignoring the drinking ban; coffee cups seem
to work for the odd quaff.
- Fun seeing families having fun
around the campground and on the beaches.
