The Swallow-tail Kites returned from South America to nest; such a beautiful bird to watch glide. The Chuck-Wills-Widows are now trolling all night now – its amazing they don't get laryngitis.

Strawberry picking is approaching the end of season; the tomatoes have been devastated by frosts and we are leaving before the next crop matures. Did a fun night hike with friends on the Hidden Lake trail; I was only person to correctly identify (guess) my crayon colour in the dark.

The Grass Pink Orchid is extremely late this year (April 7 versus February 24 last year) but it is still my first orchid viewed. Did a day kayak trip from Flamingo to Snake Bight with Cindy and Bogie; a really pleasant day with wind protection near the shore.

Currently in a packing mode at the moment and visiting Tampa as a side-trip before hitting the road for Toronto. Did dinner, comedy show and horse racing day with Cindy's daughter and son-in-law. Taking advantage of their internet to quickly update my blog.

Should be back in Toronto just in time to do my taxes...
