Likely the coldest winter the Everglades have ever seen; animals and fish still die during the cool (for them) nights. Still visiting the nice places in the glades; the Slash Pines sound awesome during low breezes.

Toured the South Miami art festival, watched hockey game on big-screen TV (Yippee Team Canada but a little hard to cheer loudly down here) and dinner at friends.

Spent considerable hours planning for the Everglade City to Flamingo kayak adventure. Besides packing, got to test Erik in Nine-Mile Pond. The weather forecast is the only nail biter at the moment.
