I wanted to recap the trip and touch on some of our highlights!
Highlights......those are hard to determine. We had so many events in the 6 weeks we were gone! I would have to say our main highlights were:
* Traveling with our good friends Linda and Randy Porter
* Staying and visiting with Bruce Cunningham in Kenai and our reminiscing of days gone by.
What a wonderful host he is and how we enjoyed our conversations!
* Visiting with Don and Erin McClelland in Portland and enjoying our reminiscing there too.
We had some really good laughs reminiscing the bike and skiing trips with Mac!
* Riding the Alaskan Canadian Highway - even the 100 mile stretch of extremely bad road -
what beautiful country and friendly people we met on the way.
* Beautiful Canadian Rockies including the towns of Banff & Jasper
* Riding in all kinds of weather and highway obstacles like goats, moose, bear, caribou!
I would recommend to everyone that they need to see Alaska at least once! From their beautiful untamed country and critters to their friendly people. There's a lot of history to learn about and enjoy!! I'm sure we'll go back but will fly next time!
Thanks to all for following us on our journey. We really appreciated having a "touch of home" with us each day! We have had over 4500 hits on our blog! Amazing!
We would highly recommend if you travel and want to keep your memories alive to create a travel blog!
Best wishes -
Tom, Sandy, Linda and Randy
