What an adventure in deed!!!

We had a good ride from Tok to Kenai Pensulia.  Most of the way was uneventful except for the sighting of 2 moose - a young one along the road and later an older female.   The ride was beautiful from Tok to Anchorage.  Lots of mountains and valleys.  Lots of SNOW on the mountains too!

Linda and Randy learned that the "glacier finger" on the mountains are over 2000 feet deep.  You will see the fingers on our pictures.  Can you believe, 2000 FEET DEEP!  The tallest mtn. is 16000 feet!

Once we got to Anchorage we took Seward Highway to the Kenai Pensulia. It was cold and rainy as we went along the inlet where you could view mtn. goats and bugloga whale.  We didn't see any, but tried to watch for them as we were riding in the rain - maybe we'll have another chance to view them.  We were anxious to get to Bruce's.  The clouds were so low they were covering up the mountains, but as soon as we turned off the Seward Highway onto Sterling Highway, the weather got much nicer.  We followed the Kenai River at that point.  What a beautiful sight!

The weather on Kenai has been beautiful.  Sat outside on the patio when we arrived last night and enjoyed pizza!  Today we are going to ride Bruce's 4 wheeler - that will be different!

We're not going to get right back on the road - we're going to relax for a couple days and let our bodies mend!

Hope you enjoy the pictures.  Catch you later.......

Tom, Sandy, Linda and Randy

I thought I had to go on Facebook to read your blog, but Lee told me this morning that I did not -- so now I am caught up! What a wonderful adventure! And yes, sitting in a saddle for as many hours as we do probably would have conditioned your butts for this trip. Too bad we didn't think of that sooner! But you will surely surpass my riding hours with your own by the time you get home. Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy!
