It was cold in Great Falls when we left this morning, but near as cold as it got as we headed north!  Tom and Sandy on the bike, Linda and Randy in their rental car.

As we traveled north towards Calgary we ran into lots of rain and cold temperatures - actually felt like snow instead of rain.  But as we arrived in Banff National Forest it was well worth the trip!  What a beautiful sight it is here - nestled between 2 mountains.  The peak of one mountain is right outside our hotel room.

We ate at a authentic Japanese restaurant tonight which was very good.

I thought of DAVE MARTIN alot today as the heated snowmobile suits we bought from his friend kkept us warm!  We couldn't have made the trip today without them.  It was down in the low 30's before the bike moved!  What an adventure!

Tomorrow we are headed north of here, not sure where our destination will be yet.  Porter's are determining the route as I type!

Thanks DAVE MARTIN!

Catch you next time - hopefully tomorrow!  Hard to say in Canada whether we will have good reception at each stop.

Love to all -
Tom, Sandy, Linda and Randy

Thought about you guys as I enjoyed a steak off the grill with all the trimings and a Black Russian and beer out on the deck watching the sun go down. Another beautiful day.
You should really enjoy Calgary, and from there you're 4 to 5 days away from my place, unless you drive down to Valdez. Have fun and stay safe.

Sure missed some pictures. How bout one of Randy and Linda's new set of wheels?
I told Lee I'd take a picture of the four of you pulling in my drive on your trikes. Maybe Randy & Linda can ride my ATV up the road and into my drive and everyone will think they made it all the way on their trike. "It's red also!"

Bruce very funny about the red ATV! Mom and Dad please stay warm and don't freeze! I hope those suits still work the further north you go:) Where are the pictures of the beautiful mountains? I hope you at;east got them on the camera?!?!?

Sounds like you guys are having quite an adventure. Kathy and I would like to make that trip (in a car) just to see more of the U.S. Stay safe and enjoy the ride. There is nothing like retirement when you don't have to be anywhere in particular.

Tom, if Randy's rental doesn't have a trailer hitch and you break down, call me and I'll come pick you up in my RV and trailer and you can fix it here while you spend the summer drinking Alaskan ale. Randy you can run the rental off a cliff so you and Linda can ride with us, and then all of you can take the RV back to Ohio and load up your bike and someone can drive it back next year.

Hi Sandy and Tom - sounds like you are making great progress and enjoying every minute. Only one Honda left - hope yours makes it for the whole trip. Can't wait to see more photos. Continued safe travels....

Hi Tom & Sandy, Hope you don't mind, Nancy let me in. Had an amazing night last night with mom wanted to share it with you. 1st of all Nancy had just gotten back with her from Bob's and later that night Bob called to say his usual Nighty-Night and ask if the Princess of the Palace is there, and she says to him, "You know I brought something home with me last night that belongs to you." and he says what's that and she says "Your Kiss" So sweet! Then at 11:00 she decides she wants some sherbert, so we had sherbert in bed, Isn't that so funny, then she says lets go see the rain, so we head out to open the front door, turn on the outside light, standing there in our pj's she takes a deep breath and says can you smell that, 'Rain", Priceless a memory I will never forget, wanted to share it with you....

Bruce- You better send some of that Alaskan Ale to Wooster! I love that stuff, especially the White (the one that came out new last year)! I brought a 6 pack home last summer... sooo good! I will admit (cause I know if you mention this to my mom, she'll tell you) I didn't finish the last one before it skunked because I didn't want to drink the last one, if you know what I mean..... Haha, I'm weird that way!

Lori- That it nice to hear. So poetic and sad though, now knowing what happened between their phone call and this morning......... I'll be back tomorrow and am planning to stop and see Grandma. Hope all's well!
