Arrived into Phuket t about 6.30am, walked to the centre of Phuket town and checked into a guest house. Good news from Bangkok, the protests seem to of broken up. The journey down was fine but we still had a nap before heading out to have a look around the town. A very lazy afternoon sorting out internet stuff and the blog, plus trying to work out how best to get a visa extension - entering overland into Thailand you only get 15 days so time is running out for us and we need to work out where it's best to exit / re-enter.

Up late and headed to Patong Beach. Loads of people and development, we didn't really fit in (2 quid for a sun lounger is loads, thousands didn't think so!) The sun was out so can't complain. Late afternoon we headed back to Phuket town for a chilled evening - up early for our visa run into the south of Myanmar tomorrow...
