We spent most of this morning up-dating our travel blog and checking our emails, pretty boring stuff really. After we had finished we headed over to the city's botanical gardens to have a wander around. Luckily the sun came out and we had a lovely time, we even got to feed the ducks and have an ice-cream; it was like being at home on a nice summery day. Sitting next to the duck-pond we got chatting to a family from..
. Yorkshire. I think we have spoken to more people from the UK since we got here than from any other country in the world! We found out that the gardens were hosting a country fair the next day and even though we had originally planned to leave Dunedin today we decided that, seeing as we didn't have anything better to do, we would stay on another night and go to the fair the following day. Having had a really lazy day so far we went back to the campsite and set up camp in the TV room for a night of noodles, cookies, L&P lemonade and TV (they love Grand Designs and Masterchef over here)! We ended up watching a film called The Happening; its one of those films where you have to try and figure out what the cause is of the main storyline. We had a list of things we thought it might be; terrorist attack, nuclear testing, x-rays off mobile phones, poison in the food. However, with 10 minutes of the film left, the owner of the campsite came in and evicted us because they were locking up the site for the night... gutted! We never found out what happened in the film and spent most of the night arguing about what we thought it might be... I wouldn't mind but it was a rubbish film anyway, but we still need to know what it was!
Over the last few days we have been getting really excited about the next section of our trip; only 6 more days until we go to Austalia!! Whilst we have had a fantastic time here in New Zealand we are getting more and more excited about Australia every single day; I have always wanted to go Oz since I was a little girl and since Tom went to America a few years ago he has really wanted to tackle the Great Barrier Reef as his next big adventure. So we are now counting down the days until we land in Sydney, we can hardly wait to get there!
