While we were in
Amsterdam Amy, Alex, Steve, Barbara, Mary Beth, Omri, Melinda &
Julie(Omri's friend from New York) had been on a roadtrip around Denmark in a
9-seater van identical to the one we had for Oktoberfest. They arrived back
late on Monday night and were planning to head off to see the white cliffs
early the next morning. As there was a spare seat, they were kind enough to let
me join them.
At 6am we left Holger
for the white cliffs so that we could be there for sunrise. It was a really
cool drive that lasted about an hour and a half. The Danish countryside was
covered in snow. We arrived as it was getting light, but unfortunately it was
too overcast so we couldn't see the actual sun rise. Nevertheless, we had fun
walking along the top of the cliffs and down to the water.
