Our car:
A legend! Covering the campground in blue smoke as we rev up the engine going downhill we get started without the RACT again! The van actually really starts to grow on me; yes it has its faults (many), but it also has character!
Who is who?
Tom (not me): is a true gentleman and gives us some money back for our troubles with the car. I would actually happily rent a van from him again!
Airport security officer: lets us stay overnight even though the airport closes. Niceness!
What did weactually do?
A last 2 hour bushwalk in Mt Fields NP (seeing plenty of wildlife again, incl pademelons) before shopping, eating and finally cleaning the van before returning it exactly in the last minute (4:29 pm), perfect timing! We then spend the night at Hobart's airport... Nothing new.
