Back to Yellowstone NP to see Old Faithful. Stopped to look at an elk cow in the road that came within a few feet. Then saw group of Bison engaged in "rutting". They were just across the road from us and we could feel the power as they fought. Hiked up to see some "paint/mud pots and minor geysers. Waited over an hour for Old Faithful to erupt. It was faithful.
Headed out of the park and climbed the bighorn mountains. Steep curvy road up and down. Hit some construction but made it into Sheridan, Wy by late afternoon. Ready for the home stretch.

Yeah, I was in Yellowstone in my mid-teens with my parents. I didn't fully appreciate the beauty. I wasn't fond of the sulfur smell!!! But I was impressed with Old Faithful. Good to know that we can count on something of nature still being the same! Wow, you are on the home stretch!!! Had a nice long conversation with Irene since she returned. You'll get back for her birthday!!!
