After a restful night with a phantom toilet which let us hear everyones toilet experiences throughout the night, we headed off with two other couples to a tea plantation, setup by a Scotsman and apparently the highest in Malaysia at 2000m. I cant verify whether these facts are correct or not as our tour guide / minibus driver was more interested in getting us in and out of the tea plantation as quickly as possible so we could go and try "the best strawberry shakes in Malaysia" (I smell a commission somewhere...). We weren't having any of it after our life changing experiences in Bangers. We're now streetwise!!

The BOH tea plantation was quite impressive as they processed the tea leaves using machinery from the 1920s when the factory was setup. Again the tour guide for the actual tea plantation was also in a hurry as we'd arrived before the actual opening hours, so a tour that would normally take 20 minutes took her 4. After our whistle stop tour Julia decided that she just had to try some tea, it simply wouldn't be proper not to. Plus she is British by jove! She took a quick sip of their finest tea and decided that it needed a dash of milk and sugar. By the end she was just drinking warm sugary milk with a hint of tea. Unfortunately we'd spent too long at the tea plantation for a strawberry farm trip so a moody tour guide drove us back to our hotel.

The bus journey down to KL wasn't very pleasant as we whizzed round sharp, steep mountain bends for an hour making Julia quite sick and she almost resorted to taking a nausea pill! But she pulled through and we made it to KL without incident! In KL though the bus broke down in the fast lane at a set of traffic lights and so we could either get out and push, or try and salvage our bags whilst dodging cars and buses. Then it was a short hike to our room at the China Town 2, where no one gets a room with a view, let alone a window. That evening we headed out to KLCC for dinner, window shopping and a view of the Petronas Towers, once the highest buildings in the world, now 2nd highest to the one in China. They were pretty tall! Returned back to China Town and had a drink at the Reggae Bar before turning in.
