Not all days can be good ones...today was one of those days. Everything we did was a miss. We have learned that when directions in a book or website say one thing, it often means something else. Usually getting off the subway does not mean you have arrived to your destination, it just means more walking. No wonder the Chinese are so slim! For the first stop we could not find the building, even with a business card in English & Chinese, no one knew where it was. We asked a policeman, front desk of a hotel, and a bank...all shook their hands to say "I don't know". Second stop was to see the largest LED screen in Asia, we found it but it only displays at night (not mentioned on website) so here it is...
Last stop was back at the Silk Market since it was close by. I was almost kept hostage by a sales lady trying to make me a deal, L&C started horsing around (eventually Claire started to cry) and the sales lady still would not let go of my wrist....she finally gave me a very low price so I closed the deal just to get out!
We were very tired and took a taxi home...he dropped us off close to home and I thought I knew a shortcut....another miss. It just added more walking :(
So happy to be home in our apt!
