Well, this is very sadly my last entry from Africa. in about 7 hours I will board a plane to Nairobi, and after a brief layover I am off to Dubai for the last 3 days of my journey. It has really been a whirlwind, and during breakfast this morning (of black tea, which I have taught myself to love) , i realised that it really does not feel like I have been gone for 2 whole months. I think that realisation will hit when I return to Halifax and see what has changed. I'm not expecting a lot, but there will be lots of little things to notice, that I am sure of. Yesterday I turned on my cell phone to add someone's phone number from the trip, and I realised that I had no idea how to use it anymore. I was also going through my bag to get out the remaining durhams I have (the currency in Dubai) and found some loonies and toonies - haven't seen those in a few months.

Time will tell what is really going to happen, but I am quite confident that I am going to have more of a culture shock coming home then I did when we first got to Africa. It is also going to be different being alone. I have been with at least one person, usually all 17 of us at all times in all places, as we all experienced the same things (for the most part). Being alone will also give me a lot more time to reflect on what I have experienced.

I have over 900 pictures and videos to share with all of you - it will take me a few days to get them organized so that you can see them in a somewhat organized way. I am really happy with them though - although my camera was a lot bigger than I usually travel with, the 12x zoom which allowed me to capture the lions playing around was definetly worth it!

Dad tells me that it is cold and rainy in Halifax...can't say I am looking forward to that so much. It hasn't rained here in 26 days (end of the rainy season was beginning of june) , and has been between 26c-32c everyday. Currently in Dubai it is 111F (about 44-45c)  and it is only 11am. So...coming back to Canada is going to suck! haha...or maybe it will be a welcome break from the hot desert heat..more than likely.

So I think that is it, I might write more when I get to Dubai, if not I will wrap this travelogue up when I get back to Canada.
