As if i wasn't "almost" killed enough times over the course of these past few months, WE have yet ANOTHER near death experience!!
If you remember, a flight from lexington to atlanta crashed on the sunday that we were suppose to leave back to home. Nima and I decided to leave a day early, on saturday. Although it was not the exact flight, our flight on the same type of jet with the same airline, delta, scheduled for the same day to the same airport in atlanta!! Sunday morning Nima called me and told me what happened and i thought it was a prank, he knew how close i had been when i was in israel, because i remember calling him just after seeing some fighting occuring in the hillside... Anyway, the trip is over and i'm going back to school, so hopefully berkeley doesn't have anymore exploding things for a while..
As for the wedding- It was AMAZING. One of the most beautiful things i have ever seen in my life, Jenny and Gino did it up big and had an awesome and beautiful setup throughout the entire weekend.
First- The Louisville slugger museum... The rehearsal dinner was awesome, and not only were the drinks amazing (and free), but we also got to hit some balls in the batting cages... For me, it was like heaven... being away from the states for so long, i had been away from baseball WAYYY too long.
That Night we went to a bar in the Fourth Street Live (a dowtown club and bar scene)... This bar was very sheik, but here's the catch... it was also a bowling alley... pretty clever, eh? Having just flown for over 25hrs from barcelona to israel to san francisco to kentucky... i was dead tired. I ended up passing out while watching the giants game... I think it was Jenny's friend ryan who finally slapped me and woke my ass up... i took an early exit and got some amazing sleep...
Next day- a wedding! held in a local church, the wedding was just right
Finally, after the brunch on saturday, we packed up and headed home... what a journey...
--- To everyone who touched me in some way on this journey... thanks for making it the best experience of my life... Can't wait for the stories to just keep piling in!!!
