On Wednesday we went to Manly Beach with Molly. It takes us about an hour and a half to get there and I decided to take a body board as I thought it would be quality. However when we got there the still was completely still, I mean there were almost no waves, and when they were they couldn't be classed as waves, more like ripples. So that plan backfired, but all clouds have a silver lining as it meant that it was amazing to swim in. It was so great as at one point I was about 30-40m out in this really warm sea that you could just walk into, the sea was turquoise blue and a completely blue sky...this was why I had come to Sydney
We headed home about 5ish and Molly stayed with us. We decided to watch Saving Pvt. Ryan (top film of course) both the girls were crying and I suddenly was saying "oh wow, can't believe it!" I had just got an unconditional offer from Brighton University to do Aerospace Engineering with an integrated foundation year. I was so happy, and really relieved as it meant I didn't have to worry about university anymore!
On Thursday I went to Darling Harbour to give out a few CV's to some of the restaurants and went for a jog in the evening, I've started doing this 5km jog in the area to try and keep fit. And that was it, told ya it was quite boring! (The weather was good the ;)).
On Friday I watched more of the test cricket...basically all day! But I couldn't get to sleep that night until 8 in the morning!! I went for a jog at 6, got back and made myself a fry up. Then I woke up around 11 watched more cricket. Then Jack Upton texted me saying he was going to a BBL (big bash league, 20/20 cricket) game in Melbourne. And made sure I was watching it. He persuaded me to make it to one of the Sydney games, which I am going to do at some point in the future
Then on Saturday Johnny invited us to a public carols night, 'carols in the park' which was an event for 6-7 neighbouring suburbs. It was pretty good, there were loads of people there and lots of different people performed, one of them being Johnny (he does kids entertaining on the side), which was really good to see! One of his co-performers was this woman who was 23, who is in the cast of wicked and she had talent at singing to say the least. Then I skyped Jay in the evening and rang home. (This was a brief summary as its long to go into loads of detail)
Over the next few days I'm hoping to go to the casino and have my first surf down under :) keep ya posted!
