Totally passed out the entire flight. Aswan is awesome, very traditional and it has that market village feel to it. Awesome backdrops when driving into the city. Once we put our stuff on the Cruise ship, me and Ahmed then went into the town to buy some small items (deodorant, sunglasses, cigars, etc). We ended up getting a horse carriage ride with a local and he showed us around the city. We bought sunglasses from the market and almost bought cigars from another local but he was too expensive.

After we got back, Ahmed passed out and I went ahead and got lunch on the ship on my own. Met a few cool peeps so that it going to be good. After lunch I went back and woke up Ahmed otherwise he would miss the first day activities. First day we first went to the unfinished obelisk which looked awesome, lots of huge rocks and in the middle of it a huge object that looked like Washington's monument, still carved out in the ground never finished. During the trip we hung out with our new friends Kareem, Waleed, their tall cousin Jasmine, plus their Mom Iman. After the obelisk we went to the small and high dam's which were just incredible to see them keep the Nile River regulated. We also went to see Philae temple which was actually moved to a different island because the creations of the dams was actually submerging it. Yes, it really was moved, apparently they cut the entire temple into 40,000 pieces and then moved them over, it took them 7 years. Once we got back I passed out for a few hours, went to dinner, and them me, Ahmed, and our new friends were going to go out. However, we ended up passing out instead... damn jetlag!!
