Where I stayed

So we haven't all gotten together in a couple years I guess it's been. So we decided it was time for a little reunion night. Alli drove down from Edmonton and met up with us and we packed into Erica's snazzy new car and drove off to Banff, two bottles of vodka in tow.

Banff is like Alberta's little Vegas. It's all party. Most people are visitors. There is a main drag that you pretty much never have to leave. Obviously it's a tiny mountain town rather than a lit up desert city, but same mentality. Well, I have the same mentality when I go at least. Except instead of heels and cocktail dresses, it's jeans and ug boots.

We rented a room at the Banff Y Hostel which is quickly becoming my favorite hostel in Banff. It's off the main drag but only across the bridge from the nightlife, so a quick little walk still. It's clean and quiet and has a great restaurant for the hungover breakfasts. We splurged and rented a private room with 2 double beds and an ensuite which we only paid about 80$ for... so with four people that's peanuts. And it was pretty much as nice as a hotel. Except one bed was a bit broken, haha. The adventures of hostel traveling.

I may or may not have had too much vodka to re-count the rest of the evening. I may or may not have been able to get into the Hoodoo... haha. But I know we did hit the Rose & Crown.

Ahhh, Banff.
