I slept in this morning, as I tend to do on Sundays (and any day I can get away with it). But once I was up I felt uncharacteristically motivated. For some reason I have not been as motivated the last couple weeks, but that changed this weekend. So after having some cereal and tea for breakfast and doing some work online, I got myself organized, checked my road map, and hopped in the car to visit the little town of Marlow just northeast of where I am living in Twyford. After visiting Shakespeare's hometown on Friday/Saturday, I thought it only appropriate to visit the namesake of his contemporary rival... that and it was recommended to me by a very reliable source as a nice place to visit.

I arrived in Marlow from the east around 2:30 in the afternoon. It was a short walk from the car park into the town centre where Christmas shoppers were bustling about and others were simply out enjoying the bright wintery day after a couple days of downpour. It was lovely to walk around, absorbing the atmosphere and processing all I learned in Stratford. I think I will let the photos tell the story from here...
