Arrived in Perth last night after 12 hours on the road (so to speak) from Auckland. A sad farewell for T-M but equally delighted to see her Mum and brother and assorted relatives. We got in at 7.45pm and it was dark but still a staggering 29 degrees even then.

It is our first morning now and everyone off to work (except us obviously) as we get settled in and get some washing done. We have been made very welcome as usual with nothing too much trouble and everyone lovely.

No time for messing about though, the job hunt will start in earnest tomorow!

What a welcome to Perth. Wow I am suprised you didn't get on the next plane out. TM, I hope your family didn't suffer too much damage, and that the two of you were indoors when the storm struck. Down in Busselton we only received a mild shower, so lucky! Hope to see you both soon, either in Busselton or Perth.
