The lights went on at 9am.  It was time for another day, getting so close to the end of the road now.  Glenn decided to get stuck in to the last two days of blogging and up loading photos, while I was being social with our new adopted Californian family {Trisha (mum), Mark (dad), Nash & Jordan (brother) & Jen (sister)}.  Trisha had been up I am sure for at least two hours making a smorgas board of food for breakfast, consisting of an egg and berry dish, cinnamon french toast, fruit, muffins, Zuccini bread, coffee & what ever else you desired.

After taking two courses of food in to Glenn while he lay in bed and type away Nash and I decided to go for a run and try and conquer the hill once more.  I got further then I did on Christmas day, but we thought we would take a different track and explore a little. Nash said it was probably two miles cross country which was so fun!!. When we returned everyone in the house asked "you are back already?" admitting defeat by this mountain yes, we went another way.  Mark told us we were soft and that one is easy.. Oh well after all I am just a girl..

As I was packing and having a shower Glenn was outside with Mark admiring the nice 67 Convertible Camaro, I could hear then revving the engine, I knew Glenn was in his candy store out there wishing we could put it on a ship and bring it home with us.  Once he had his car fix and finished taking photos we headed in to the quaint little town of San Luis Obispo.  Pizza and wild bread for lunch (wild bread is basically our herb bread pizza) but I like their name for it better sounds so much more intriguing.  We went for a wonder around town in the rain.  Oh yeah did I mention we had so much sun on Christmas day, the boys were outside sunning themselves and today it is very cold and has rained all day.  Remind you of any particular Aussie state???..

We headed back to Nash parents packed the car and said our final goodbyes and headed back to Nash and Jen's place for our last two nights in America, (our 6 weeks nearly over, I guess i should become a typical nagging wife now, & Glenn a grumpy old man?? ha ha).  Anyway back to our day.  Our drive back started out lovely, I even manage to get a game of I spy happening, as the rain got heavy the traffic got slower much like home, however it then came to a complete stop.  Unfortunately we moved maybe all of 1 mile in the next hour praying that we were getting close to the end of the jam, finally we see the traffic start to flow.  A four car pile up and the police on the side of the road sweeping up the remains.  So our 4 hour drive was quickly becoming longer then estimated.

We stopped off for a quick look in the nike store and then off to IN & OUT.  Nash and Jen are being kind enough to let Glenn eat there at every opportunity he gets prior to boarding the plane.  Now this is extremely generous considering Nash is a vegetarian.  So thank you Nash!!!.  But their chocolate shakes are worth it.. 460 calories worth it...

Home sweet home at 11pm, Glenn and I again blown away by the houses that our friends own over here, amazing house guys is all i can say.  A beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom 2 storey, lovely..  It has been a big day, so it was decided that our beds were calling.  Glenn has already passed out next to me.  So I am going to love and leave you all.  I am sure Glenn will have things to add tomorrow.  Hugs to you all & I hope you all had an amazing Christmas with friends and family, remembering the true reason we have Christmas. xoxo
