Flat Stanley here in the old city of Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Today I went out with my friends Trish, Rodin, and Homa to the old walled city and walked all the way around. It was really cool being up high above the city. I looked down at all the red tiled roofs.
I saw a school in the old city. The school looked like all the other buildings, but the kids played soccer outside in a walled courtyard. The ground was covered in bricks instead of blacktop.
Some men worked on the walls to fix them. They had to make the new part look the same as the old part. It was funny though, inside the old city it was not a museum but a mall! I saw Sony, Puma, United Colors of Benetton, and some other stores. I also saw restaurants and churches and people's houses. It is very old here, but they take good care of it.
I like all the orange roofs, they look a lot different than houses in the United States.
Bye!
