Well it has been a long time since my last entry and this one is completely unplanned. Due to my recent working efforts, I have not actually achieved much apart from finally earning a bit of money (not that much - it is still going fairly quickly...) Since the 20th March, I have had just four days not working.

"So what else has happened in the last month or so?" - I hear you ask. Well, James has left the house and is now somewhere in the middle of Australia. James left a couple of weeks ago as he is spending his last month in Oz seeing things that he has not seen yet, before spending a couple of months relaxing in Thailand on his way home. Because of James' departure, we have two new housemates who have taken his room. So the day after he left we welcomed Katrina and Matthew to the house. More Brits in Australia for a few months while on a bit of a world tour.

The weekend after they arrived we all went out for a meal in Chinatown, and a few drinks in Darling Harbour with Helen and Lucas, to celebrate Neil's birthday. See photo's included. That weekend I also managed to push out the boat and did a sunday roast, which we all enjoyed. Because of our different jobs and working times, we tend not to club together for meals all that often, so it made a nice change for us all to sit around the table.

We also have tried out the food at our local this week, having had the $5 steak special on Sunday. Admittedly the steak came only with mash (which the steak more than covered - the steak was not huge!). However the steak was very nice and I think this may become a regular outing on a Sunday. When you compare this to the UK it is approximately 2 - try and beat that at home!

As of this week, my main IT support job has dropped back to three days a week, and along with the two days I currently get from Axa I am now only working five days a week, giving me my "weekend" on Thursday and Friday. I am hoping to try and keep these jobs ticking over for a bit to maintain some regular income. Over the last few days I have found a new route to work. The buses are very busy in the mornings and I now start my IT job at 9AM, so it would take ages to get into work. But I have just started making use of the ferry which I now take to work. This is really nice, particularly the views. I take the ferry from about a 20 min walk away from our house to the north end of the bridge, from where I can walk to work or take a train one stop if I am feeling lazy!

Unfortunately I do not really have any more news to impart. I am spending today recovering from my last spate of work - 9 days on the run. Hopefully I will start to use my days off to do more touristy stuff soon and will be able to provide more details of what else I get upto.

Hope everyone back in the UK is well!

Bye for now
Tim
