At the time I'm writing this entry we have only 4 days to go. I just found out today that the rest of the guys are flying to Buenos Aires and then getting a ferry to Montevideo while I'm going straight there. It seems like I need to get an accomodation sorted and maybe go to the harbour on my own in the search for our bikes. We've heard bad stories about things getting nicked from cars awaiting their owners in the harbour and apparently our container had been already opened and the bikes disembarked. We cannot understand how anybody could break the seal without our approval. The shipment company is evading our attempts to contact them and comment on the situation. I hope our panniers will not get stolen from our bikes. They have been left loose in the container. I'm buying a travel insurance tomorrow. I'm looking especially for a large 'lost luggage' cover. :)
