Our last 2 days in Livingstone have been memorable ones! Our safari via Land Cruiser and boat in the Chobe Park in Botswana was short of seeing the big five (elephant, rhino, leopard, lion, buffalo) but it was fabulous! The weather was perfect for us, too. We saw numerous hippos, impala and elephants as well as a few crocs, lizards, water buffalo, kudu, puku, mongoose and a variety of native birds.
Today, we headed for Victoria Falls. The views were spectacular, needless to say. Despite umbrellas and rain coats we were soaked due to the tremendous amount of spray created by the falls. We dried out on our hike to the "boiling pot" near the bottom of the falls where the Zambezi river continues on it's way. Wanda and I made the return hike with only 2 rest stops! In the afternoon we divided into 2 groups: Wanda with the gorge adventurers and Tara with elephant lovers.
