Just got into Salzburg

first day of yucky weather. we have avoided it so far and now appreciate all the sunshine. its not too cold either. we found the markets in Vienna and they were closed, and we found the church we were looking for and realised it was the same one we passed heaps.

EVERYTHING IS CLOSED ON SUNDAY it annoying, it is very catholic but anoying.

the train ride to salzburg was only three hours but i wish it was longer cause i found a copy of new moon for 7€ so now i have two and i can throw this one out when im done instead of carrying it around. i am so stocked, spech cause in prague it was liek 49 bucks

also the hats in prague were a rip, about 50bucks for the one i wanted so i will have to find it somewhere else and call it my prague hat, pretty bummed cause i want to keep it up.

anyhoo we trekked around in the snow fall for a couple of blocks till we found our hotel and were pretty wet by then. we watched austrias next top model final and some of duetch superstar (idol). then sludged back out into the weather. the bus is frigin 2€ a ride.

we explored the centre city in the cold (Ate at a very authentic or touristic restuarant and had to have more beef goulash ), at night and with everything closed so i am looking forward to tommorow in the daylight. pray for good weather for us. thanks

ok this was the tomorrow...
we found the park and the steps from sound of music and carrie didnt believe me that they were it cause they seemed too small. it was sad to see it without flowers all dead and snow covered. we saw mozarts houses but didnt need to pay to go in. been there done that.

we went up the tram thing to the fort for a nice view. i think i found the best panorama yet. all the memories flooded back when i saw the life size chess set at the bottom of the hill. we also saw the cool house that is all by itself down the other side. i didnt know what it was last time either but this time this guy told us its the hangmans house cause he hung people he wanted to live far away from any of his neighbors.

Then we trained to innsbruck which we were both excited about the nice moutain views. it took us forever to find our hotel cause of course it was a different name than the reservation and they didnt answer the phone. found it though and it had a nice view over the river to the old town. next door... kebab shop, cinema and internet cafe with a laundry mat.
