After leaving Ko Panyi, our boat was steered to Ko Tapu, more known by James Bond island, because a very well known film of the series was filmed here. In fact, Ko Tapu is one of two rocky island joined both by a restinga. In the other island, called Ko Khao Ping Kan, neither is possible to land, nor to put the foot on it only if you are going with a fully equipment to escalate. Some times, I have seen that the island where is possible to land is called Khao Ping Kan. However, I have seen, on the same spot, a Thailand official sign where the island's name is transcribed as Tapoo Island.
Coming from Ko Panyi, it was the North face what the island showed us when we came in sight it. As by this side lies the famous limestone, I asked to the pilot that come down the speed. Then, I put me in standing on the bow of the speedboat and my wife made to me some pictures near the stunning rock. Shortly after, as the tide had already risen, we landed on a beach, not far from the pier. The boat departed again to surround the great rocky mountain that forms the island and to wait for us in the southern beach. We reached it by land, after crossing a narrow, long and winding path, sometimes carved in rock, which leads to the limestone's viewoint, a must-see spot on the island. The captain, who accompanied us all the excursion, made us some pictures in front of it, but before, we had to await a long queue.
Scarcely more it can be told. I bought some souvenirs in the stalls that are filling the narrow neck of land linking the two mountains. Also, I took a bath to alleviate the stifling heat, in spite of the water was not very clear. However, we desisted to enter in the cave for avoiding more queues. When the time came, our captain made a signal to the pilot, who brought the boat to the beach by stern. Shortly after, we climbed back aboard among the astonishment of some oriental tourists who were waiting a long queue to come aboard of a great longtail. Once inside, the boat departed at full speed.
