Where I stayed
As we accumulate years less things can surprise us. Never had I imagined that would have to travel 10,000 km. to attend the wedding of a brother, but so it happened. Not only three other brothers, but all their families, they traveled also for taking a part in the event.
Althoug we spent at Atlacomulco three days (two nights), the two sole places in which we stayed were the hotel and the nearest commercial center, just in front of the hotel. This was very great and very well supplied, by which I supposed it ough to be one of the most importants in the city, populated by then by circa 80.000 people. Both were in the suburb and because we visited the hacienda Villejé two times (the day before and the day of the wedding), we had not opportunity of seing other places in the town. Too, the visit to the commercial center was the third day, while we were awaiting the vans that had to take us to Mexico City again.
Hacienda Villegé lies about 20/25 Km from Atlacomulco and was built about 1750. Its primitive landowners were involved in the sugar cane plantations, but in present times it's rented sometimes to celebrate weddings. It has its proper chapel, other interesting architectural pieces and beautiful surroundings, as it may be seen by photos showed. Without any doubt, it was a nice place for celebrate the event, the most far wedding (from our living place) in which we have been present.
