Where I stayed
Early morning pickup to the bus to Mandalay. Bus was OK and once again got to our destination earlier than expected. Picked up a pick up to the Royal Guesthouse ($15). We'd checked it out before we left and decided that the Royal Hotel we'd stayed at before wasn't worth the extra $10/night. Booked a ticket to Bagan for the next day. All the internet cafes were inoperable....Not good as Tim was expecting a big job to start coming through. A cold beer at the beer house next to the supermarket and watched the locals stocking up on water pistols/super soakers for the water festival. Quick dinner at chapati brothers and an early night.
