Good Day All!

This is much overdue! I have had the pictures uploaded for the last month but have not gotten around to write the entry. Sorry folks!

During the Korean Thanksgiving (Chusok) Eric and I were invited to go to my co-teachers (Jiyun) house for the weekend. We were spoiled with AMAZING Korean style food by both her and her parents. They sure know how to cook. Eric and I ate so much we were full for a day after. For those who know our eating habits, this probably comes to a complete shock to you ;).
That evening Jiyun and her father took us to the highest mt in Daegu. Due to the enormous amount of food we had just eaten, we decided to take the easy route to the top: CABLE CAR. I'm usually against the cable car but because Eric and I did an over night camping/hiking trip that day I was rather tired and didn't mind the free ride up. I forgot my camera for this trip so I was unable to take pictures of the city once we got to the top. The view from the top was beautiful. Daegu is a city built inside and around mountains. Imagine 360 degrees of mountains surrounding a city and a city surrounding a mountain.

The next day we went to a traditional Korean village to celebrate Chusok. Most of the photos for this entry are pictures from the village. I was told by Jiyun that Andong is the oldest village in Korea. I have heard different from other Koreans and I was unable to find a valid source on the Internet! Lets go with: IT'S OLD!

As some of you might know by now, my school offered me a contract extension that will put me in Korea until Feb 25th, 2011. After lots of pros and cons writing I decided to accept and sign the contract. The school is giving me 3 weeks off in February to come home and I already have the flight ticket purchased. I'm really excited to see everyone and be home in time for the Olympics :).

Well folks, I know this is short but I have to go mold the minds of the young Koreans (dangerous, I know) but I will have another entry shortly with my past weekends photos from Jeju Island. What an awesome weekend!

I hope all is well with EVERYONE!

Smile,
Tim
