I love going to olympic parks.  I overslept/misjudged train schedules and I missed the first two tours of the olympic stadium but I caught the third.  Sydney hosted the olympics in 2000 and they are keeping up the facilities very nicely, unlike Athens who is letting their olympic park go to ruins.  Loads of people were there and people now live in what was the olympic village, and it''s been expanded twice and now's there no more room to expand.

The old olympic stadium, now ANZ stadium, is impressive.  I took a tour that showed me all of the VIP suites, press boxes, locker rooms, etc.  I felt like William B. Neilson, the athletic venue Jr. Manager.  Russel crowe owns a rugby team over there and he watches the games often  The tour guide says hes nice and hes a chain smoker.  I stood on the olympic medals podium, i stood on gold.  One of the admins went to the superbowl and took notes on how we manage stadium facilities and he copies us in that he now using stair steps for advertising space (your welcome austraila).

I also went to the aquatics center and it was magnificent.  Huge HD video screens and park of it is now a swim park for kids.

My nightly routine while I was in sydney was: sauna and pool, eat at the restaurant in the hostel, which had good food, and go to the hostel bar, which had delicious beer and free wifi.
