Where I stayed

I slept in a bit today.  But I did wind up taking the subway to the tourist boat dock.  I took a hour and half round trip boat ride.  It was fine.  There were a bunch of differently colored bridges along the way and a view of Tokyo from the river.  One of my favorite buildings was painted entirely blue.

I noticed not many people here wear sunglasses even in the bright sun; weird.  A good number of them do wear those surgeon like masks that cover their mouths and noses; I guess they are afraid of getting germs.  There are signs everywhere that say wash your hands, use antibacterial gel, report illnesses to the government (this sign was in the airport), etc.  Also there was a sign at the baseball dome that promised the water fountain water was safe to drink, it had statistics on it so you know it's true.

It's also hilarious to me how every Asian in the world poses for pictures by making the peace sign with two fingers.  I love it.

I had Starbucks in the afternoon and sushi at night.  The sushi was good but I've decided I mainly only like sushi that has some cream cheese in it.  Like a bagel roll with tuna.  Yum.

I don't have any cool movie lines to quote on this blog.

Tiger lost the PGA, that sucks.  But at least USA won gold in men's basketball.

I'm looking forward to all the funny election coverage on The Daily Show and Colbert Report when I get back.

Also college football.

Tim out.
