Buenas Aires (BA) is the best.  I took the bus ride from Iguazu to BA

and it was the best bus ride yet.  The seats went completely flat and

I could choose what movies I wanted to watch.  I choose 2012 in

English and The Notebook in Spanish.  The woman sitting next to me was

nice.  She had her Theology degree and was studying law.  She was a

massage therapist and a Christian.  She gave me lots of good advice on

BA.  College is free in Argentina.

I took a 5 hour walking tour of part of BA today.  The guide and our

group was really cool.  We saw the most beautiful and unique cemetery

ever.  And a giant robot flower.  We had to pretend not to be in a

group when the bus came to pick us up so they wouldn't pass us by.

Whoever could act like they were not in a group the best won an

Argentinian Oscar.  We called them an Argie.

I saw a giant poster at the bus station advertising a Michael Buble

concert in March so I think South America is supportive of the Gay

community.

This hostel has everything.  Walking tours.  Tango tours.  Bar.

Restaurant.  Soccer matches booking.  I'm probably going to a soccer

match on Sunday.

I met two Canadian pilots who gave me good flying advice.  And a guy

from California named Homer.  Thats a weird name.

I still love BA, this city is great.  Ive been here 3 days, and each

day I take the walking tour of a different neighborhood of the city.

I'mmeeting so many people from all over.

I had drinks and a great steak dinner with three girls last night,

Irish, Brit, and NYCer.  It was so great but a local, sweet, old man

thought I was hitting on his wife, but I wasn't really.  He was very

funny and took pictures of us.

I booked the soccer match for Sunday.  I cant wait.  Apparently there

are hooligans who make you sing, piss on you for the higher seats, and

climb the 20 foot fence near the goals whenever there is a score.  Its

going to be great.

I met this guy from Israel who looks a lot like Winfree.  He told me

its mandatory for all citizens of Israel to join the military after

high school.  Three years for boys and two years for girls.  Crazy.

Its like that movie, Starship Troopers only its real life.

BA is a magical city.  Its huge and beautiful (twss).  People eat late

and go out to the nights clubs from 2 am to 5 am.  So crazy.  I like

meeting other travelers and asking where they've been.  There are so

many great stories.  I might try to join a club I created called the

157 club.  You have to travel to 100 countries, 50 states, and 7

contents to join (and then sum them up).  I meet a couple of girls who

went to Antarctica and saw whales.

Its also pretty easy to become Facebook friends with other travelers.

You just ask their email and then Facebook them.  Its a good way to

keep in touch and get travel advice later.  One of the Aussies took

the ice cream bike from a local and he was riding around.  It was

pretty funny.

I might go on the bus tour tomorrow.

Feb. 26

Friday night was pretty good.  There was a party at the hostel and we

had some drinks and played Uno with some Brit girls.  Terminator 3 was

on in the background.

Saturday was good too.  I went to the Colon Theater which has such and

interesting history and its suppose to be one of the top 5 theaters in

the world.  Some Spanish guy skipped me in the line to get a ticket

for the tour so I just stared at him, meanly.  He came to me after I

bought my ticket and said he was sorry. I said todo bien.  Haha  There

was a room in the giant chandelier at the top of the theater we

weren't allowed in but violinist are.

Then I went to the Malba, modern art museum with a couple of girls.

It was very cool and they an exhibitions with colors that changed

depending on your perspective.  I like art now.

Last night I went to a Tango show from 10:30 to midnight.  It was

pretty impressive.  Those dancers have skill.  I liked the dancing but

didn't care for the music and singing.  It was a little hot and some

old lady had here knees all up on me so that wasn't good.

Soccer is tonight.  And then I will try to pack my time with cool

events Monday and Tuesday.

Feb. 28

Soccer math Sunday night was pretty cool.  We almost missed the start
b-c of some confusion with our tour guide but we made it in OK.  We had
to go two at a time through the twirling entrance booth things and I had
to get really close to this NYC guy.  It got pretty loud at the start
and whenever anyone scored a goal.  We also had to wait 30 minutes after
the game for the away fans to leave before us so there would be no
fights.  The away fans were throwing water balloons at the home fans
from above.  I also saw the Oscars in Spanish.  I need to see The Artist
when I get back home.

Monday I went to their white house, its pink over here, where their
woman president works and lives.  We got to go into their oval office
and I took a video of it.  It was a holiday, 200 year anniversary of
when their flag was made.  The American Flag is older than their flag,
but Argentina and America have the two oldest flags on this side of the
world  I also went to this Bomba del tiempo underground drum concert
last night.  It was really neat.  Like drums mixed with martial arts
mixed with Spanish people.  Today I just walked around.  I like ordering
coffee and just reading my book in a cafe.  Its relaxing.

I fly back home tonight.  Iĺl see you guys soon!
