Alett and I arrived to Prague late.. so we went to the first hostel we could find from the train station. You know the saying, "Save the best for last?" Well we saved the biggest dump for last! What a creepy place! The hallways are long and bleak. We felt like we were in a filthy hospital or retirement home. When we arrived to our room we admired a used bandage stuck to the wall next to the bed. Could the cleaning staff please remove this? Everything was disgusting here... the kitchen, bathroom, shower..time for some re-vamping. Now I know why they call this a Hostel. You may feel HOSTEL after staying here. They should pay us just to stay here! jejeje.. :)

For dinner Alett and I went to my favorite little restaurant Corto. We enjoyed tasty lasagna one more time. Alett approved. Your night is not complete until you have a gelato! Only difference here is the gelato scoops are tiny. We are sooo spoiled. Italy was much more generous with their gelato's.

Wednesday Sept. 13th

Its great knowing your way around a city. No need for a map! After leaving our new found dump Alett and I are off to explore the city. First stop..local grocery mart. We picked up a few things for breakfast. As we waited in a line a guy pushed his cart so close to us that I bumped into the woman in front of me. She then turned around and elbowed me. This happened twice as I was bumped once again. RUDE FREAKIN PEOPLE! By far I have encountered the rudest people in Prague. This woman had the meanest look implanted on her face. She should smile sometimes! The rest of our day was very pleasant. Alett and I enjoyed hanging out on Charles Bridge. There were several musicians.. our favorite was a guy playing the wine harp. He had wine glasses with warm water playing the most beautiful tunes. I had to buy his cd. Standing over the bridge listening to his music was inspiring. We then went to the hilltop to enjoy the panoramic view of the city. This is my favorite! I could stay here for hours. The view is captivating. On our way back we stopped in a small park. It was lined with benches and covered with the greenest grass and trees. Alett and I really enjoyed ourselves here. We then stopped in a small cafe for some quiche. MMMM good. The guys working were very cool. They were giving us tips on Prague. Not everyone here is rude.. just seems like more than the other places visited. Prague is a must see!
