A day of travel! Debra and I are off to catch a train to Trieste, Italy. From there we take a bus to Pula which is in Croatia. I accidently left my backpack on the bus when we left today. This sweet little man was banging on the bus window showing me my backpack So I chased the bus until the driver stopped.

We met a really cool chica named Alett in the bus station. She was also on her way to Pula. I felt sooo queasy on the bus.. it winded up and down the road.. I have never had motion sickness before. I wore Debra's face mask to ease the pain.. jejej We crossed the border to Slovenia. I had no idea how beautiful the country side is here.

Arriving into Pula we needed to find a hostel. This was a site to see! We walked through the city and finally made our way in the right direction. We walked a mile or two. It was almost dark and there were bats flying over our heads.. we were screaming and laughing! This was on the way to our hostel. We are definitely staying in the woods but our dorm room faces the ocean! It is soooo relaxing falling asleep listening to the sound of the ocean.

I am getting use to no toilet seats. Your aim gets better every time! jejeje Many of the toilets are not conducive for a woman. :)

Aug 31st

Walked out of our room and literally fell into the ocean. We are 20 yards from the water. Its wonderful! We relaxed and soaked up the sun.
There are not too many sites to see here. The most amazing is the Ample(?) Theater. It was incredible. Reminded me of the Colosseum in Rome. We see-sawed today... it was sooo much fun! I felt like a kid.

We found a great restaurant tonight. Enjoyed turkey, pork chops and potatoes! Delicious!

something to add
Hy, I see that you have a good time in Pula..Hostel is on the graet place, 4km from the centre od city, on the beach and near Lungomare (place where young people come every evening) to listen music from cars, and drinking.

But I have just one comment on your ' not too many sites to see'...Pula have 50,000 habitans, and more than 10 great sight to see. On your picture is Golden Gate (that was the entrance to Pula), we have Double Gates, Amphiteather one of 7 in the world which can accept about 10,000 people and in summer there are concert like Anastasia, Eros Ramazzotti, Vanessa Mae, Jamiroqui, and others...., on the square is Diana Temple and August Temple...and so on.
