On Saturday we did some sightseeing. We headed out on our scooters with our destination some thirty miles south and the boardwalk at Kemah, Texas. To cross the San Jacinto river without going on an interstate bridge we found the Lynchburg ferry. First opened in 1822 by Nathaniel Lynch it played a key role in the Texas Revolution. Since 1890 it has been operated by Harris County and is free. Just across the ferry was the historic battleship Texas and the Texas monument. Then we were on to Kemah. On Sunday we got up early for church. Today our church of choice was Lakewood Church. Lakewood is recognized as the largest church in the US and is pastored by Joel and Victoria Osteen. The sanctuary was huge (my guess, Tim, was it seats 20,000). We really enjoyed the service. We were pleasantly surprised by how friendly and welcoming the church was. We were welcomed numerous times by people. Joel also was available at the end of the service in the back to greet guests. After church we drove to Galveston and toured the old town and the seawall. Then we headed for San Antonio.

Sounds like you're having an awesome time! I asked about the photographer thinking Chelsey would be proud. Never knew that was an inherited trait! Any tennis??? Enjoy!
