Decided to get an aircon shuttle bus after experiences on local buses, was worth every penny as it was a 6 hour journey over some awful dirt tracks.  Malpais is very different to avellanas much more rugged and rocky and bigger waves and lots of iguanas.
Some really nice Spanish people from Malaga in our cabinas have recommeded good spots for eating and surfing.  Also went to an amazing party last night in a super rich english guys condo on the beach, this place was amazing and set up so well for a party, the people from the burning man festival in the nevada desert were there doing fire shows.  Met lots of people and drank lots of beer.  Tiff wanted to go home at midnight  so we could go surfing early but he had to drag me kicking and screaming!
The weather has got really hot here now and we have to spend most of the time in the shade because you burn so quick!!  I know that you are all probably feeling really sympathetic, as we have heard that there has been some pretty full on gales back at home!!
Anyway we are of f  to meet Raech's parents on Monday up in the cloudforests of Monteverde and we will probably climb Arenal volcano as well so we will keep you posted next week with how that goes.
Laters Tiff and Raech.
