We spent the late morning and most of the afternoon on Key West's only real beach located in Ft. Zachary Taylor State Park. As the guy at the gate shack said, "It ain't the Bahamas but it's the best we got." The beach is rocky especially in the middle, but there is some sand and the water was beautiful.

A storm finally ran us off the beach, so we came black to the house to change and settle in for happy hour. I guess we settled in too much, because we slept right through it. I don't know how either of us will be able to work a full day without naps when school starts!

We had dinner at Jack Flats, a sports bar and restaurant. After dinner we started our crawl down Duval. You can tell the weekend has arrived as the crowds were crazy! We were in and out of several establishments and had a great time people watching.

On the agenda for Saturday is a walk to the cemetery, the southern most point, and a ghost tour in the evening when we will get to meet the infamous Robert the Doll!
