Sunday night we stayed in Bardstown KY, later to discover that that is where Evan Williams Kentucky Borboun and Georgia Moon Corn Whisky is made. We bought both.
Minimal amenities in the bathhouse but had hot water. Had the place all to myself - a short lived luxury I'm sure. We ate up most of the leftovers from Pittsburgh for dinner. Electricity and water make it simple. 8 hours of driving today. Left at 9:54 am and arrived at 6:45. Set up was easy. Tomorrow off to the Land Between and then on tiny roads to Branson. Don't know about the wisdom of this route. Keep reminding myself that we're not on a time schedule.
We hit a bumpy section of road today and lost the safety chain on the car caddy and the cover to the electronics on the scooter. John saw it fly off in the rear view mirror but we didn't know what it was until we stopped for the night. Duct tape saved the day.
We called everybody to update them. All is good. Saw Jack Daniels distillery est 1700's. These folks like lots of breathing room. Nice homes with lots of property around them.
