I'm on bed rest today. Sage wants me to take it easy to prevent the bronchitis from developing into pneumonia. I'm glad for the support of the women of the program, who call to make sure I'm ok and can get me anything I need. I've been going from nap, to book, to computer, to TV, back to nap.

Being overseas during election day has brought home to me an understanding of how much today's choice impacts the rest of the world. Cast your ballot on behalf of all those people on the other side of the planet whose lives will be affected but are not allowed to vote. The entire globe is watching today to see if we Americans are going to make the right (or in this case, the Left) choice. Please don't let them down.

Please get better...
Please get plenty of rest. You made me a promise to come back safe. Plus saving you Iron Eagle-style from pneumonia is not as cool as saving you for Afghan warlords. Just know that we are ready to save you with cassette players strapped to our legs, if needed.
