I got up early at Campland on Mission Bay, showered, put work clothes on and headed for Escondido, where I met with Dave Lyons, who was to have been my San Diego area client, but he had to postpone working with me for a variety of reasons.  It was great to meet him and share breakfast, but then I trudged on towards Palm Springs, arriving late morning and checking in at the Happy Traveler RV park.

Before meeting my client Louie Jones of SwapMeTV, I had to solve two problems - one being my broken Blackberry, which I was able to replace with an Android phone at the Sprint store, and two, the next higher grade of antibiotics to battle my balky ear.  After a frustratingly long time, I got them both done and got back to the RV park where the temp was well over 100 degrees.  I left TJ in the RV with the AC blazing, and Louie picked me up and we worked for the rest of the day on his financials.

The next morning, we met again for breakfast, when we decided that I had enough to do to go back to the RV park and work until lunchtime.  Thank God I did!  When I got back after breakfast, the AC was no longer working, and had we decided to continue working together, I'm not sure that TJ would have survived in an overheated RV with a temp outside of 106 degrees!  I immediately checked us into a Motel 6 and called out an RV repair guy.  Ironically, the Motel 6 was about 100 yards from Louie's condo, so it turned out to be a decidedly more convenient.  TJ cooled his heels in the nice room (and the place had incredible grass - something TJ and I have learned to look out for as a nice amenity on our trip!).

I finished up the model and went back over to Louie's and we started hammering out the details of his business plan.

Louie also happens to be the Reality TV producer I'm working with on the concept - he lives in LA but has a condo out in Palm Springs where he likes to get away from the hustle and bustle to "think".  Can't say I blame him there, having spent two years in grad school at UCLA!  I tranferred all of my footage over to him and he showed me a couple of other demo reels he has produced.  I'm looking forward to seeing what he comes up with for my trip/show!!  It will probably take awhile, though!

I spent a relaxing night at the "6" and the following morning, got up and met Louie for breakfast again where we went over the final game plan for his business plan.  It will take a bit of post production to get his plan done, but our meetings went well, and I'm pysched about his business.  WIsh I could tell you more, but it's top secret for now!
