What I did
Worked With Wira
After a 450 mile trek through a polluted LA county, I rolled into Sunnyvale to meet my last client on the tour Wira Soedarmono of Koscar Interactive, a ver cool retail-focused digitial signage company. Yet again, the trusty Motel 6 came through and I set up base camp late Wednesday in order to meet with Wira Thursday and Friday. Due to his deadlines, much of the work had already been accomplished prior to arrival, so much of our time was spent polishing up the model, plan, and investor presentation. He had already managed to get more than $600K in investments and is seeking an additional $3 million, which I think will be easy given that he has customers lined up to order his products over in China.
Thursday we worked at the Mountainview Library (thanks, Google) and then Thursday night I met with Geoff Hunt, a proposed business partner on another venture, and later met with an old Thunderbird classmate, Brian Simonson for a drink to catch up on ten years and relive our experiences in Cuba while in school.
Friday, I met with Ali Kashani, a business partner on our Silicon Valley startup, Atlas Nanotechnologies. We discussed the issues with government cutbacks for those doing research and how on edge people at NASA and other organizations are as a result of the economy.
After a final meeting with Wira, the client portion of my trip was complete. Now time to take the long road home to Jacksonville!
