Day two on the build - we work so well together! We're learning how to become efficient. We sift sand as a team, we dig holes as a team and we damp dirt as a team. LOTS of dirt....
Since we're working so well together, we want to make sure you know our entire team. There's lots of us....30+! We've posted everyone's picture on the blog so you can get to know us. There's a few "old jugs" and a few "cracked pots" in the group but we're a pretty great group......you'll have to ask a team member what "old jugs" and "cracked pots" mean.
We saw Jesus in a few places today:
The first was when we were coming back from our break. Three little girls gave us an impromptu concert singing, smiling, dancing and laughing. We loved it!!!
We also saw Jesus in one of the children that will be moving into the house we're building for her family. She wanted to be part of the build so she wheeled the last load of dirt into her house for the floor.
One of the fun moments of the day was watching Dennis take over as general contractor. We can certainly tell he runs his own business!
We also had fun singing with the mason's. We all sang "Hotel California" in English and they knew the words better than some of us! We're searching for a guitar for tomorrow....
We had lots of fun singing today. We sang the doxology at lunch - in four part harmony. If some of us decide that this Thrivent Builds gig isn't for us, we're going to go on tour for the rest of the week!
We really appreciate the messages you're leaving on our blog. Pass it along to others, it makes our day knowing that you're interested in what we're doing!
