-Commercial radio plays on average 5 songs. In a loop. Sometimes two times in a row, then you switch stations and there it is again.
-Do not get in the way of trucks. Ever, even if you know they have seen you.
-Every town or gas station has a Wendy's or Danny's. Only Safeway sells cut fruit.
-Sadly enough only Starbucks will provide you with internet and many power plugs. The coffee sucks, but you still buy it.
-Rain will not only slow down traffic. In Arizona it also has the power to flood the gas station you're trying to find shelter at and to stop traffic by flooding the interstate. 3 hours in the car without moving a meter. Sorry, mile. Thank God for the laptop and the new Dexter.
-For that matter: American weather has been screwing us so far. Either we drive straight into storms or they follow us. Today we had a weather warning about golf ball sized hail and have been rained and hailed on. Tomorrow we're flying to Honolulu. Oahu is expecting storms with tornados, of course it is.
-7 Eleven has the best Slurpees. The ones from Chevron suck and cost twice as much.
