We are enjoying the slow pace here. The temp is much warmer, in the ninties during the day. We stepped up to a more expensive room and are paying about $40.00 us, but most of the bungalos are full here. We do get the BBC so I am happy and able to keep up with the excitement related to the primaries and caucuses.
I missed the firedancers on the beach last night. I think they did their thing around 10 PM and I was all done in by then. Maybe tonight. This will be our last night on Ko Lanta. We catch the 8:00 AM boat back to Krabi, and will overnight there, before pushing on in a mini bus to Khao Lak.
I shot a few pics of the beach here to post. As I write this I can hear the Muslim call to midday prayer from a nearby mosque. This is a great layed back spot to recharge after days for bus, Tuk Tuk, train, plane, and boat.
Barb just left the room and is heading down the beach to meet up with some British friends we met a few days ago. I need to catch up with her. Hope all is well back home. I see from the news that the weather is 5 celcius and raining, there. Grim, well I hope we have an early spring.
Bye for now. Tom
