Last night we stayed up late (11:00 PM) telling Sam all the things we had seen and done the day before. Sam was wonderful, listening politely. When we went to bed, unbeknownst to us, Sam make a birthday cake for Barbara. It was a yellow cake covered in one pound of butter, one pound of creme cheese and one pound of white chocolate. It had flowered garnishes and looked like a piece of art. While we slept, he had baked the cake, carefully placing towels at the base of our bedroom door, so we would not be awakened by the aroma. We awoke in the morning to this beautiful piece of culinary art! Can you believe it? How sweet. I ate some for breakfast. Paula Dean, eat your heart out!

We then went to the Museum of Modern Art. A terrific collection of Picassos, Oroscos, Riveras, Modiglianis, and too many more  for my feeble old mind to remember. If some of the titles seem lame, it is because each reguires a title to be loaded into this blog and I am doing this on the fly from Montreal after the fact

All photos were shot without tripod or flash, Hope you enjoy the art, and the street scenes. .

That night I took Barbara to the theater district to watch the Broadway show Kinky Boots.  It was a hysterical romp about a shoe business going bust, and a strategy to save it , based on a chance encounter with a cross dressing guy named Lola. I know, I know, FORGETABOUTIT!
